Amplifying HundrED’s mission for global education impact

The challenge

HundrED.org is a mission-driven enterprise with roots dating back to 2017, when Finland observed 100 years of independence. Established to celebrate and disseminate information about education innovations in the country, HundrED has since evolved to research and celebrate scalable education solutions globally.

As they prepared for the annual HundrED Innovation Summit, the organisation faced a key challenge: how to transform a complex, multi-day agenda into a single, powerful story.

They needed to engage and inspire more than 200 innovators gathering in Helsinki, and more online from around the world, as they celebrated the 100 most impactful education innovations of 2024 at its Global Collection Gala and Awards Ceremony (12-14 November 2024). 

They sought a strategic partner to craft a compelling narrative, provide journalistic rigour to panel discussions, and ensure a world-class experience for attendees both in-person and online.

Our solution

Inspired by the theme, “Education Futures”, Aspidistra worked closely with the HundrED team to craft a series of compelling research-based scripts focusing on human development and flourishing to engage and energise participants.

Former journalist and Aspidistra CEO, Denise Wall, served as host and moderator for the three-day exploration of the many faces of the future of education.

Aspidistra was closely involved in and held an advisory role in the planning of the events, particularly offering insights into best practices regarding event timetable management and ensuring equal time for special groups, such as students and young education activists.

We produced a total of five event scripts to tie together the various sub-themes and ensure coherence when introducing expert speakers, presenters and panellists to the live and online audiences, as well as summarising contributions for the benefit of participants.

Our host also moderated a key panel discussion that put the spotlight on youth influencers and gave them an arena to share their vision for education needs today and in the future, in line with the event’s main theme.
